There’s a summary over at VentureBeat of a Deloitte survey on media use patterns. Although it’s only a summary and leaves some questions unanswered, there are a few interesting points from a democratic perspective, particularly:

The millennials consume the most media and are more likely to get entertainment from multiple media sources and applications. That’s in contrast to a few decades ago, when media was more expensive and so was consumed most often by older generations with more disposable income.

Now ‘most media’ doesn’t mean the same as ‘most news’ or ‘most politics’ but it is at least a ray of hope for those who want to see more civic engagement.
