All EU citizens can vote in the European Parliamentary elections in the UK, if you are from the UK, Ireland, Cyprus or Malta you can simply register online.

Once you have registered to vote you will be sent a card through the post, this will tell you when and where you will be able to vote. Voting is open between 7am and 10pm, in Northern Ireland you will need to take ID to prove your identity, this is not true for the rest of the UK.

So, in summary:

  1. Register to vote online by Wednesday 7th May 2014
  2. Receive your polling card through the post, telling you when and where to vote
  3. On the day of the election go to the polling station on your polling card (if you are voting in Northern Ireland remember to take ID with you)

About My Vote has a video guide to voting at a polling station to get you used to the process, view it here.
