Do you want to explore the issues of the day, without partisan name-calling? Create new connections and action in your neighbourhood? Build a better democracy, with government that really involves people rather than just consulting them? Us too.
Our members and friends are at the centre of what we do. They give us independence, and keep us focused.
Registering as a friend
Registering and becoming a Friend of Demsoc won’t cost you a penny and is available to everyone with an interest in our work.
When you become a Friend of Demsoc you’ll automatically be added to our weekly mailing list, where we’ll keep you up to date with all the latest news and share our latest reading recommendations. You will also be free to join in the online discussion and comment on all our Demsoc and member blogs.
Friends of Demsoc will also be invited to attend Demsoc events occurring throughout the year.
Become a member
Your subscription, just £3 a month, is essential to our work in creating new democratic conversations and experimenting with better ways of running government.
You’ll be on the inside of our projects, with monthly policy briefings as well as analysis and reporting of current issues relevant to strengthening democracy. Demsoc will also feature reports and papers from members on relevant emerging issues, which will be shared with all our networks.
As a Demsoc member you’ll have access to our full election coverage, both during the upcoming 2014 European elections and the general election in the following year.
Demsoc members will be the first to hear about our events, talks and conferences, including our annual networking event, a full week before general release.
Beyond all that, you’ll be standing up for a vision of open, engaging, creative politics in a world of technocrats, partisans and stasis. That’s worth three pounds of anyone’s money.
Join the Democratic Society, and we can achieve it together.
